I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off min 35.5cm on my birthday next year the 31st of October when I know it will be long enough, before it goes grey. This will be the last time I will be able to donate.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. When hair is everything
Monday 6th Mar I was a little girl once, I had long thick glow dark blond hair. It was my pride swing round my plat. My mum looked after it for me. I could almost sit on it,. Then in year 5 I had a choice to keep it or chop it so I could manage it myself... my hair made me happy.I now wish to give the same happiness to a child who hasn't got a choice.
