I'm harvesting my hair and would love your support!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping it all off on the 8th of March 2022!

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for your support and helping kids in need.

Rough chop

Sunday 6th Mar
I was hanging for my hair to be off. I'd committed to this cut for several weeks and by today I had had enough of waiting. What a better way to do it than to share the experience with my family. Plus, Benjamin has some serious scissor tools given the right tool!
So, the locks are off and tied up in a plait on the dining room table. It kinda looks like a hairy lizard!
I'm so stoked that a child is one step closer to having some hair on their head and hopefully taking the focus off their illness and more of a spotlight on them as a person.
No one should be defined by impairments. We are unique and given the right opportunity we can flourish.
I'll get my final polish at the hairdresser on Tuesday, hopefully they can smooth out some of the hunks taken a bit close to the scalp! 

Change of date but no change of heart

The original chop date has been shifted to 8th of March 2022. I am 100% committed to the chop and have even got a bit more brace sharing the fundraising page.

Well, it's official, I'm going short! 
My hair has never looked so good, and I was sitting on the fence between keeping it long or going short.
Donating these locks are all the more reason to do it. The chop! 
Bring on the final days of hair growth and back me up with some sponsorship!
