I'm chopping my hair!

My name is Elliot, Ellie or simply Ell. I am 3.5 years old and my golden curly hair is a whopping 40cm long. I have never had a hair cut and my long locks are ready to be donated to a boy or girl who needs them. 

I will be chopping my hair off in the next few weeks and aim to raise some money for children in need. This is very important to my family, my Mammy is a cancer nurse and my Daddy did shave for a cure when he was little too. 

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Friday 11th Mar
My Mammy is a oncology nurse, she helps people throughout different stages of their cancer journey. She sees people loosing their hair or faced with the scary fact that their hair will fall out one day soon. My hair has grown so long and I am now ready to donate it for a great cause. 

I think my hair will make a lovely wig for a little girl. I get mistaken for a little lady all the time, someone once told my Daddy that "She is going to be a strong independant young woman when she is older". 

This is a massive milestone in my life and I will forever be proud of the little difference I can make.
