I'm chopping my hair and donating it.

You all know I have very long hair. I'm making a big change and going to a shaggy pixie cut and it would be a shame to just throw my amazing hair away.

I will be donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping it on the 24th of June.

Wigs can cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

I plaited my hair into 4 plaits, and the kids chopped them off. They're going in the post tomorrow to Heart With Hair.

One time, decades ago, work held a dress up Christmas party.
We decided to go as Trinity and Neo from The Matrix. $20 later, I had my hair cut and that was the total outlay for our costume.

We won Best Dressed.
Our prize was Steak Knives. 😁

My hair will be short like Trinity's again.
