Wednesday 27th Apr So the time has come... coco keeps asking when are we going to chop her hair off for sick kids in hospital with no hair 🥺 I sat her down a couple months ago and we talked about giving her a haircut and giving her hair to brave little kids who are to sick to grow there own hair and I can say she has asked me over 15 times to cut it off and take it to the hospital, I'm so attached to her hair as she has never had a haircut in her life and every morning I brush her hair it feel like im brushing years of memories especially the ends, the hair she entered this world with its the most special part. Her beautiful hair is long and thick! And living in Queensland it's hot! She can only ever have a plat for school or her school hat won't fit around her big bun! She gets hot and it's always in her way so I have just got to bite the bullet and let it go ✨️ We will be doing the chop on her 5th birthday 5/6/22 marking exactly 5 years growing her golden locks 🧡 and it will be a very special event for her more so to let her know how amazing she is to want to be so brave to let go and to help another litte kids who would so much appreciate every strand (I get emotional thinking of a beautiful young child wearing what once was my babies hair). When Doakoda was 3 months old I almost lost her to bronchitis and pneumonia the nurses told me I should prepare for the worst and spend every minute I could with her, she is so strong and she never gave up! after weeks in hospital she slowly recovered but from that she now has a frail immune system and asthma. The thought of loosing her was something I never want to have to think about or go threw again, I feel so deeply for the mothers who are sitting in hospitals with there young ones hoping and praying for them to keep fighting brings me to tears, life can be so unfair no child should have to go threw that. If you can help donate toward her chop it would mean the world to me and coco and an achievement she can carry for the rest of her life with pride any amount helps, also if you can share this post around so the word can get out about variety charity who purely raise fund for children's cancer.
