I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
Hi, my name is Cienna. I am 9 years old and I’ve chosen to raise awareness by fundraising money to a very special charity called “Hair with Heart” (Variety the Children’s Charity).
I chose this charity because I want to make a difference and give the gift of donating my hair. I have committed to chopping my hair to help change more than one life. My hair will be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to long term medical condition or illness.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth.
I’ll be chopping off 36cm in January 2021 and all the money I fundraise will go to kids in need and help kids living with disability, chronic illness and disadvantage. Most importantly someone else will be able to enjoy my hair like I did.
I chose to do this because I wanted to make another person happy, so they can be looked at with a fair go and treated normally.
I’ve been committed to do this since last year and I’ve been growing my hair since. After a lot of hard work, it’s almost time to chop off my hair. Whoever gets my hair, I hope it makes them happier!!!
