I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be donating approximately 38cm inches of my hair on Thursday the 2nd of December 2021.

One of my close friends was diagnosed with alopecia in November of 2019 so I am also doing it in honour of her. 

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Friday 3rd Dec
WE MADE IT!!
Yesterday I cut my hair! It was a huge moment but I am so beyond proud and glad that I did it! 
I am so blown away by the support from everyone (especially the huge boost in donations in the past 48 hours). I will be forever grateful so thank you so much <3

02/11/2021 - update

Thursday 2nd Dec
Hi Everyone,
Here we go! The day is officially here. I am cutting my hair today at 4 pm! 
I am so nervous but beyond excited to help someone in need. I love thinking about the happiness and confidence that my hair will bring to someone who is struggling with alopecia. 
As of 9 am I have raised a total of $1,272 which brings me so much joy and has totally surpassed my expectations.
The support has been overwhelming! I greatly appreciate it!
Truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.

18/10/2021 - update

Monday 18th Oct
WE HAVE A DATE!!! - I am officially donating my hair on the 2nd of December 2021. I am so excited to help out this wonderful cause. My hair at the moment (from the donation point) is approx. 38cm! 
I will continue to update you all as we get closer to this exciting day!!!

11/09/2021 - update

Saturday 11th Sep
Hey!

It’s currently around the middle of September. And as many of you may know I was planning to cut my hair in late July or early August! Well, that was unable to happen as NSW got put into a major COVID-19 lockdown. 

We are now planning to wait to get out of lockdown to go to the hairdressers. We also considering going later in the year so that my hair is as long as possible. 

We are currently looking for the perfect day! (We will let you know when we know)

Hey!

It’s currently around the middle of June. And as many of you may know I am planning to cut my hair late July or early August! Well that is fast approaching!!! 
I had a major concern for a while as I was worried that my hair would not be long enough for a while and that I would have had to delay the chop to later in the year. However, my hair (from where I am cutting it) is now long enough!
We are currently looking for the perfect day! (We will let you know when we know)
