I’m Making a Big Chop! I’d Love Your Support!

Hi there,

You might have heard that I’m chopping off my hair in late December 2020 and donating it to Variety - the Children’s Charity! 

I have been growing my hair out for the past 7 years, and have approximately 85cm (roughly 33 inches) of hair, which sits just under my tailbone. I’m looking to cut and donate around 53 cm (21inches), which will leave me with between chin and shoulder length hair. 

All that hair will be used to make wigs for those who have lost their hair due to a medical condition.

Variety helps thousands of kids who are sick, disadvantaged, or have special needs to live, laugh and learn through various grants and programs including granting wigs to kids that have lost their hair due to a medical condition, for example, alopecia. Wigs give these kids more confidence and better self-esteem so they can feel like themselves again. But wigs can cost thousands and last only 1-2 years.

I’m aiming to raise 500. Please don’t be shy, every little bit counts!
