~1.6 meters of hair over 9 years!
Every 2 years I grow my hair out, without colouring, cutting or anything. Then after the 2/2.5 years I cut majority of it off and send it to the variety charity to make wigs for sick kids. Come July, this will be my 4th donation of hair in roughly 9 years. With an average length of 40cms per donation, after this cut I will have donated over 1.6 meters of hair.
I have never fundraised towards cutting my hair, but being the 4th time and a 3 decade birthday, I've decided to give it a crack. even $5 goes a long way!
Facts about the wigs:
- Variety make these wigs using roughly 10-12 hair donations
- These wigs can cost families $6000
- Variety make these wigs and gift them to children in need
