I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off 36 cm in January 2021.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

I’ve always had really thick and healthy hair and one day a hairdresser suggested that I donated it, and I just thought, “Why not?!”. I started looking at charities to donate it to, and I found Variety. I read some of the children’s  profiles who have received wigs and it just touched my heart so I decided to choose this charity to donate my hair to. I finally cut my hair a few weeks ago after about 3 years of growing it, and donated 36cm. I really hope this goes to someone in need and I hope it gives them confidence and the comfort to be themselves!!💇🏽‍♀️💇🏽‍♀️💖💖
