I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I've made the decision to chop off 35.5cm of my locks on Saturday 21st November, 2020.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. 

By making a small donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need.

Firstly thank you all sincerely for your SUPER GENEROUS donations, your support towards Hair with Heart will help another child to be gifted a wig!

Today the chop was completed in one ponytail, it is already in the mail to Variety to contribute to create an amazing head of hair for a wonderful owner.  It does take 10-20 donors to make just one hairpiece.

Thank you Paul & Abby (hairdressers), support crew Becky, Rose & Oliver oh and that husband of mine (of course) who has kindly not proceeded with divorce papers (hahaha)...

I now will enjoy adjusting to shorter locks, being a lucky one who can grow my hair back but know I had made a small difference to someone out there.  

Thank you so very much again for your beautiful contributions and you all helped me meet my target, I am forever grateful and love you all dearly!

I have been growing my hair to donate my locks for 18 months.  I have never had short hair before but I am up for the challenge as I know Hair for Heart will create a master piece to brighten the day of the lucky recipient!
