Alex got the big chop!
Hi all,
I've recently gone through the big chop and once again have short hair. I had my hair for over 9 years at the time of cutting, with most of my hair being over 40cm (15inches) long and I thought it was about time for it to come off.
I will be donating my hair through Sustainable Salons who send ponytails directly to wigmakers and to charitable organisations such as Variety and the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation (AAAF) to be made into charitable wigs or to fund life-changing programs.
This fundraiser's goal is to provide the necessary costs associated with granting a wig to a child experiencing medical hair loss. Any additional money donated is distributed by Variety to help kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage, or living with a disability.
