Safety Blanket

Tuesday 27th Jul

For most of my life my hair has been my safety blanket and I would hide behind it whenever I needed a little bit of comfort in uncertain situations. I’ve always had long and thick hair and have never had to worry about any health concerns that would affect that. 

Unfortunately we live in a world where there are some people who do whether that be from cancer, alopecia and other medical conditions.


I have teamed up with #varietyaustralia and #hairwithheart to chop off my hair to donate and be made into wigs for these beautiful people that need it way more than I do. For me this is an incredibly big step in releasing me from a huge safety blanket and it’s somewhat terrifying, but I believe that a small sacrifice from me can big a big change in someone else’s life and hopefully give them the safety and security my hair has given me for the past 23 years. 


Your donations to my big chop also help Variety to support kids who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs by providing practical equipment, programs and experiences to help them overcome obstacles and live life to the fullest.
