I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off at leasat 36cm of hair around the 15th December.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Abi's "First" Haircut!!

Well.... she'd had a little trim at the start of the year.... :)

For those who don't know Abi, she just turned six this week.  She's always had a lot of hair, and has always been very proud of it - even if Mum and Dad never really knew what to with it all!  So you can imagine what a big adventure it has been for her to make the decision to cut all of it off and donate it to Variety.  It has really helped her and buoyed her no end knowing that she has the support of so many friends and family - and even strangers! - who have all donated so kindly to Variety on her behalf.

So.... THANK YOU, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

On Tuesday the big day arrived.  Abi sat in the hairdressers chair and with no fuss or fanfare she watched as her thick braids were cut one by one from her head.  Don't worry, Mum and Dad and Granny and the brothers and even the hairdressers had a lot of fanfare and fuss for her!

We are so proud of her, and (biased, of course!) we think she looks beautiful with her new haircut.  We are so thankful every day that our children are healthy and we are humbled to be able to do this one little thing to help out.

Thank you all again for your support  - especially at this time of the year (and, you know... what a year!).
