Hi! I'm Holly, known online as @ohmyholly! I've been bald for almost my whole life. I was born with alopecia, an autoimmune condition that causes hair loss.
But over the last few years I've completely rewritten that story. With the help of the alopecia community, I found my confidence, and now I genuinely love being bald. Today, it's my mission to share my journey, educate, and empower other women and kids experiencing hair loss. I hope that by sharing my story, I help to make hair loss something normal, visible and even fun, never something to be ashamed of.

You can help a child like Hallie
At five years old and just about to start kindergarten, Hallie was diagnosed with alopecia. A funny and outgoing girl, Hallie would often cry, asking why she was the only one in her family affected. She hated the feeling of being stared at. Determined to let Hallie lead her own journey, her family chose not to shave her head, respecting her wish to hold onto the hair she had left.
Hallie knew she wanted a wig before starting school. Finding Variety’s Hair with Heart and wig grant program changed everything. Now eight, Hallie has just been granted her second custom-made wig, which allows her to run, jump, and cartwheel just like any other active kid.
